Oroville Historic Preservation Council

Oroville Historical and Cultural Preservation Council is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our mission is to educate and advocate for the preservation, restoration, stewardship and appropriate reuse of Oroville’s historic buildings and landmarks, to advance their historical, cultural and economic importance and value to our community.

Protecting Oroville's Turn of the 20th Century Character

The Oroville Historical and Cultural Preservation Council was formed in 2025 with the goal of protecting and promoting the city’s historic and cultural assets.

Inn Manager and OHCPC Executive Director

Natalie Sheard

Natalie Sheard lives in Oroville and is passionate about the vitality of historic downtowns through appropriate reuse, preservation and economic development. Natalie is currently receiving guests in the 1875 home of Butte County Superior Court Judge John C. Gray.
She serves on the Oroville Planning Commission, Historic Advisory Committee and is the current President of the Oroville Downtown Business Association.

Sean, Lori, and Heather

Sean and Lori Pierce are leaders in Oroville preservation and have renovated multiple buildings downtown. Saving historic buildings is a passion of theirs. They have been hands-on renovating our historic downtown and donated to preservation projects like the State Theater for years.

Heather is a historic preservation advocate and works to support those doing the renovation.
